HAPPY MEETING OF VIAGS TAN SON NHAT’S EMPLOYEES THROUGH THE PERIOD ON THE OCCASION OF THE NEW YEAR 2020

On December 30, 2019, VIAGS Tan Son Nhat organized the program "Happy New Year 2020 – The Warm Reunion" at the 4th floor lobby - VIAGS Operating Center.

Attending the meeting, for the former leaders of TIAGS, VIAGS was present with Mr. Nguyen Quang Son - former Deputy General Director of VIAGS, former Director of TIAGS, Mr. Pham Ngoc Tung - Former Deputy Director of VIAGS Tan Son Nhat. From the VIAGS leadership, the program was honored to welcome Mr. Vu Xuan Chinh – President of Trade Union, Mr. Bui Minh Phuong - Vice President of Trade Union, Ms. Pham Tuyet Ha - Deputy Chief of Administrative Office, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Huong- Deputy Head of Training Center.

On the side of the leaders of VIAGS Tan Son Nhat, there were Mr. Bui Duc Thanh - Secretary of the Party Committee - Director, Mr. Pham Phu Yen - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee - Deputy Director, Mr. Nguyen Vinh Hung - Deputy Director - President of Trade Union of VIAGS Tan Son Nhat and staff retired through periods with officers and employees of VIAGS Tan Son Nhat.

At the beginning of the meeting, delegates watched the clip summarizing VIAGS Tan Son Nhat's activities in 2019.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director Bui Duc Thanh said that in order to timely encourage the collective of employees on the occasion of Tet Holiday, to concern and take care employees for a warm, happy and grateful Tet, to give the grateful to the merits of the previous generations of officers and employees, to educate the morality of "When you eat a fruit, think of the man who planted the tree" among today's young generation, the Party Committee and Trade Union of VIAGS Tan Son Nhat promptly organized this meaningful meeting in the hope of bringing more joy to those who have retired through the periods and contributed a little spring feeling” to the employees in difficult circumstances. On the eve of Canh Ty Lunar New Year - 2020, the Director sent delegates the best New Year greetings.

Over the past years, VIAGS employees have contributed to the Love Fund of Vietnam Airlines Corporation. On the basis of the proposal of the VIAGS Tan Son Nhat’s Trade Union, the Vietnam Airlines Corporation's Trade Union has deducted the Love Fund with a total amount of VND 115 million to support 05 cases of employees with dangerous disease and difficult circumstances.

With the expectation that all employees have a warm and full Tet holiday with their families, the Party Committee - VIAGS Tan Son Nhat's Board of Directors directs the Trade Union to understand and grasp the plight of the employees in the unit to timely support employees the favor conditions to celebrate Tet Holiday. At the meeting, there were gifts from the Board of Directors and Trade Union of Tan Son Nhat VIAGS to 13 employees in special circumstances.

Continuing the program, the Trade Union of VIAGS Tan Son Nhat offered gifts to 5 representatives of families under preferential treatment policy.

In addition to gifts for employees in special circumstances, VIAGS Tan Son Nhat’s Trade Union also did not forget to prepare Tet gifts to send to the collective of employees in each unit.

On behalf of the employees’ collective, Mr. Le Dinh Chinh thanked the Board of Directors at all levels for giving their deep attention to the employees of all periods through this meaningful meeting and exchanging. At the same time, he expressed the trust that VIAGS Tan Son Nhat’s employees will continue to successfully complete the assigned tasks.

After that, the former officers, employees of TIAGS - VIAGS Tan Son Nhat had received special gifts, including Vietnam Airlines' 2020 calendar, VIAGS calendar, expressing gratitude from VIAGS Tan Son Nhat’s Board of Directors.

Their love for the job is always a shining example for the today’s young generation of VIAGS.

Especially among retired employees, Mr. Nguyen Van Cao, a former 90-year-old TIAGS’s employee of ramp service, said he was very touched to attend this meaningful meeting since he has entered the aviation industry from 1952, and has 4 offspring who are also working in the aviation industry. He was emotional, touched to watch clip of activities, opened each VIAGS calendar which reminiscent, reiterating the original rudimentary tools when serving aircraft at Tan Son Nhat airport, and now a lot of new modern equipment is being obtained and put into use.

The program "Happy New Year 2020 – The Warm Reunion" belongs to the series of activities to take care of the employees lives from VIAGS Tan Son Nhat's Board of Directors. This is a practical and meaningful act held annually, to ensure that employees can enjoy the Tet Holiday with a spirit of joy and excitement. At the same time, express the concern and sincere sentiments of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of facility, the Trade Union of each departments and the heads of Tan Son Nhat VIAGS’s units for the employees on the occasion of spring.

Intimate and warm meals for generations to have the opportunity to talk and recall the old memories, etc.

The Director wishes a good health for Mr. Cao – who turns 90 years old this year and has 40 years working in Ramp Service of Tan Son Nhat airport.

Morning of September 24th, 2021, VIAGS Tan Son Nhat has successfully served Charter flight (by HAV Company represented) number 02VQBZV. Utilizing a B747-400 airplane whose seats were removed for cargo, the flight carried a total of 24,868 kg of goods which consist of 18 freights/2,860 packages/15,550 kg in the cabin and 10 freights/9,318 kg in the cargo hold. Exported apparel and footwear were contained and dispatched from Vietnam to South Korea in these freights.

At 3:55 A.M, on September 11th, VIAGS Tan Son Nhat (VTSN) delivered services for a special flight utilizing the military-grade freighter, C-130 Hercules, to obtain 8 tons of medical equipment and materials for fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic. This was the result of the aid from the Poland government to Ho Chi Minh City and it was worth about 4 million USD. The package which consisted of 70 breathing machines, 50 heart-rate monitors, 267 positive displacement pump Biolight, protective clothes, gloves, medical masks, and so more, was transported from India to Vietnam.

VIAGS TAN SON NHAT YOUTH UNION/ INTERNAL COMMUNICATION BOARD: DAILY GOOD NEWS, DAILY JOY

Throughout the ‘war’ against emerging COVID – 19 virus variants that are highly contagious, not only the medical force, the police force, and the army but all Vietnamese people have had to experience the expense of this catastrophic impact. Thousands of companies are struggling to survive and millions of workers have lost their jobs or work with greatly reduced income.

Ho Chi Minh’s Tan Son Nhat Airport used to be the busy and bustling hotspot of the country with hundreds of domestic and international flights every day. Yet, ongoing challenges and immense difficulties brought on by the pandemic has affected many. Not only are authorities, airlines and service providers struggling to grapple with the crisis, but the everyday lives of workers and staff here is becoming more difficult than ever.

During this time, the VIAGS’ Tan Son Nhat board of management, the Labor Union, and the Youth Union had quickly taken the initiative to create the “Love Connection Fund” to hasten welfare support for staff in need. From identifying airport staff going through a hard time to buying and transporting food and essential items in the fastest and most convenient way possible. This journey of ‘Knocking on every door – Looking after/Finding those in need’ is a part of the collective support campaigns for VIAGS Tan Son Nhat’s workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Small gift bags consisting of daily necessities such as rice, eggs, canned food, vegetables, and noodles will be delivered to more than 453 employees in need and those that are in isolated or quarantine areas with the hope of supporting and encouraging these families to overcome the difficulties and fully comply with the Government's directives.
