VIAGS TAN SON NHAT HAS SUCCESSFULLY SERVED CHARTER FLIGHT (REPRESENTED BY HAV) USING SEAT-REMOVED B747-400 AIRCRAFT FOR CARGO, FIRST TIME PUT INTO COMMISSION IN VIETNAM ON 09/24/2021

Morning of September 24th, 2021, VIAGS Tan Son Nhat has successfully served Charter flight (by HAV Company represented) number 02VQBZV. Utilizing a B747-400 airplane whose seats were removed for cargo, the flight carried a total of 24,868 kg of goods which consist of 18 freights/2,860 packages/15,550 kg in the cabin and 10 freights/9,318 kg in the cargo hold. Exported apparel and footwear were contained and dispatched from Vietnam to South Korea in these freights. This was the very first time that a B747 aircraft ever carried cargo in its cabin; which also happened to be the first seats-removed-for-cargo B747-400 airplane ever emerged in Vietnam.

Since this has never been developed before with any other airlines, VIAGS Tan Son Nhat has based on its current cargo transporting experience to detail planning about human resources, TTB, approaching aircraft, and organization to fully guarantee safety and punctuality when operating.

With a two-level design and the cockpit situated within the second level cabin, the B747-400 aircraft when removing seats can be used entirely for cargo in the first level cabin (i.e. across the aircraft’s length).

Cargoes were prepared to be arranged in the aircraft.

Ground crew participating in this in-flight serving mission were fully vaccinated, periodically tested. Protective clothing was provided to comply with regulations and implementing services according to the plans.

The organizing process was executed carefully and following guided regulations to provide the best quality and safety for the flight as well as the interior equipment of the aircraft.

Cargoes were bound cautiously in accordance with the cargo transportation regulations to ensure safety for the aircraft.

After the plane had landed at 7:08 A.M, the VIAGS Tan Son Nhat ground crew completed the loading and unloading work at 12:10 P.M so that the flight could depart at 1:20 P.M on the same day with safety and service quality.

In the landscape where the aviation industry is affected deeply by the pandemic, cargo flights materialized by removing seats in aircraft have been reinforced actively by many airlines to maintain production and business. With experience and professional manner in the process of serving cargo-in-passenger-cabin flights, VIAGS TSN always receives trust from various customers and is a prime selection for ground services for such flights managed by airlines.
