VIAGS Noi Bai welcome IndiGo's inaugural flights

On October 3, 2019, IndiGo - India's largest airline launched direct flight from Kolkata to Hanoi. VIAGS Noi Bai has welcomed and served the inaugural arrival and departure flights at Noi Bai International Airport.

Following the success in Southeast Asia market, IndiGo has chosen Vietnam as the fifth destination in the flight network expansion strategy. Noi Bai VIAGS was honored to be the ground service provider for IndiGo Airlines at Noi Bai International Airport. On the occasion of opening the first flights, VIAGS Noi Bai has cooperated with IndiGo Airlines to hold the ceremony to welcome aircraft and passengers in a solemn and friendly atmosphere.

At the opening ceremony, On the IndiGo side, there was the presence of Mr. William Boulter - Chief Commercial Officer of IndiGo, operationa representatives and flight crew. On the side of VIAGS NBA, there were the presence of Mr. Ta Thang Hung - Deputy Director of VIAGS Noi Bai, on behalf of Board of Directors gave congratulations to representatives of IndiGo.

According to Mr. William Boulter - IndiGo Chief Commercial Officer, Vietnam is a dynamic and potential market. The flight route connecting Hanoi to Kolkata will boost and make favorable conditions for the Vietnamese Buddhist community to important religious areas of India as well as other countries, whereas opening opportunities enhance cooperation in economic, cultural and tourism development between Vietnam and India.

IndiGo is known as one of India's largest airlines with more than 200 aircraft and holds 49% market share of air transportation in India.
